I just checked my settings on it and left most as they were. I seen that you could change your email address.

My question in regards to that is… If we have 2 IMVU accounts and would like the email notifications to go to just one email address.

Just curious and wondering if it would just cause confusion, but could we have both accounts using the same email address?

If I remember right, you have to have a separate email address for every account, which is a pain.

If I remember right, you have to have a separate email address for every account, which is a pain.

I was thinking that also. It is a pain in some respects because I do not frequent this accounts email. I figured it would not hurt to ask.

Please IMVU allow someone to change emails under the new system not have to wait for days to verify your email because some staff at imvu take forever to answer a case on this plus cannot update email to verify it stinks what has IMVU done again to mess up a working system

I find it very important messages sent by mail. Know everything that happens in real time on your IMVU helps prevent intrusions to your account. So have checked email is very important for those who have a good account.

Emails are the best way to stay connected to IMVU – when you are not logged in and away from your friends and family here. We tell you when your friend has sent you a message, when your product has sold or received a review, when a photo you shared has been commented on, when there is a sale in our Credit Store, and more.

Recently we have updated the email preferences page to give you better control over exactly what emails you receive.

Note: These preferences control your emails and NOT the IMVU Inbox messages you may be receiving.

Please visit the updatedEmail Preferencespage at your earliest convenience to do the following:

Going forward we will only send you emails (except for the required ones), IF you have verified your email address. Even if you are currently receiving some emails (friend request notifications for example) without having a verified email address for your account, you will not going forward.

This change will go into effect by next week.

Please note that we are no longer giving a reward of promotional Credits for verifying an email.

Choose none, few or all of the emails listed under subscriptions. Hover over each option to know what emails you will be sent if you select that option.

– Greetings that IMVU sends to you to mark special occasions like your birthday and IMVU anniversaries.

– Information about important events in your friendss lives such as their marriage announcements.

– Any message you receive from an IMVU user. The email typically contains the actual message content unless for security reasons we ask you to visit your IMVU inbox to read it.

Pulse post or Photo Stream comment notifications

– When someone comments on your pulse or photo posts (feed on IMVU Next).

Following options can not be unsubsribed from and are considered emails we are required to send.

– Related to action taken by IMVU on your accounts including notices when an account is suspended or banned. Also includes emails sent to senders and recipients of Credit transfers.

We hope this helps you manage your email inbox better and have better control over how you stay connected with the IMVU community.

NOTE: All active IMVU users will receive a IMVU Inbox message to this effect by early next week.

I hate that we have to leave the site to get our messages. having it automatically take us to our web browser and it takes longer and also shows up in browser history if you want to keep them private and forget to clear your history… I HATE IT

Do you mean purchases you make in our Credit store? Such transactional emails are required to be sent and can not be unsubscribed from.
